Smart Form Field Type Appendix

This list is to be reviewed and updated. Some fields will be removed while other may be added. 

The fields that are highlighted in PINK are the main field types to use when creating smart forms. 

Field

Description

Actions

Provides a concise view of the Actions Page. (clicking it will open the Actions page as a pop up)

Benefit

Provides a concise view of the Benefit Page. (clicking it will open the Benefit page as a pop up)

Budget

Provides a concise view of the Budget Page. (clicking it will open the Budget page as a pop up)

Chart 

Allows the user to create graphs and charts based on project data and custom page data. Examples include line graphs and pie charts. 

Checkbox

This provides a checkbox 

Clone

This allows a field to be cloned from another field elsewhere on the system such as replicating a text box from one page onto a second page. Changes made to a clone, will update the original unless ‘Allow changes’ is selected as No. 

Date

Provides a Date Field

Date Function

Allows return to Dates such as Today, Start Date and Finish Date. 

Dropdown List

Provides a dropdown list. To set up a dropdown list, this is in the separate section under Smart Forms called ‘Dropdown Lists’

Gauge

Allows the user to set up a graphical gauge with Minimum and Maximum values which can read from project data and custom pages. 

Header Row

Provides a heading within the group. Best used to neaten the page and separate types of groups.

Image

Allows the upload and display of an image.

Issues

Provides a concise view of the Issues Page. (clicking it will open the Issues page as a pop up)

Map

Checks whether Map (GIS) Data is present and provides a popup of the map when clicked. 

Milestone

Provides a concise view of the Project Milestones. This is driven by the Gantt Chart.

Next Milestone

Provides details on the next milestone to be delivered.

Numeric

Provides a numeric field for input. Users can configure number of decimal places and roll up calculations such as SUM, Average, Count, Minimum, Maximum etc. 

Numeric Function

Allows the user to set a formula based on other project variables and custom page numbers. 

Numeric Function for Dates

Allows the user to return a number that relates to the date and can be used to calculate days remaining on a project which changes on a daily basis. 

Organisations

Provides a list of the Organisations to which this project is linked to. Clicking it will open the Organisations property tab as a pop up. 

Phase

Returns the current Phase of the project as determined by the Gantt chart. 

Priorities

Provides a breakdown of the priorities tab with the headings, scores and weightings. 

Project Status

Allows the update of the project status. 

Project Type

Allows the update of the project type.

Risks

Provides a concise view of the Risks Page. (clicking it will open the Risks page as a pop up)

Scope

Provides a link to the Scope Page.

Skills

Shows the planned number of days that have been allocated to skilled resources. This is driven by the Gantt but can be updated by clicking the field. 

Stage

Returns the current stage of the project.

Strategy

Provides a list of the Strategies to which this project is linked to. Clicking it will open the Strategies property tab as a pop up. 

Text

Provides a Text Box. Users can configure the size of the text box and any text which appears by default such as a ‘How to’ message. 

Text Function

This allows users to use HTML and create tables and graphics which can be used as tooltips, reminders, hints, reports and widgets. Examples of Text Functions are provided below.

User List

Provides a dropdown list of all the active users in the system. 

User Role

Provides a dropdown of users with a specific role on the project as determined by the Project Rights page.
