 Why Would Customer Use

EVM (Earned Value Management) dashboard widget is real-time visibility into project performance by integrating scope, schedule, and cost metrics. Specifically, they benefit in the following ways:

Key Reasons:

1. Track Project Health at a Glance
   The widget visually displays whether the project is on budget and on schedule using key indicators like Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI).

2. Monitor Progress vs. Plan
   It compares planned value (BCWS), earned value (BCWP), and actual cost (ACWP) to help identify variances early and take corrective action.

3. Forecast Future Performance
   Metrics like Estimate at Completion (EAC) help predict final project cost and duration based on current trends.

4. Support Executive Reporting
   Provides high-level summaries and charts that can be used in stakeholder meetings to show progress and accountability.

5. Enable Proactive Decision-Making
   With real-time data, project managers can make informed adjustments before issues become critical.

When generating the EV Period dataset, we also need to capture the actual Status Date that was applied for that Period

?️ Configuration (Admin)

 To enable the EVM Widget on the Project Dashboard:

1. Navigate to Admin > Configuration > Dashboard > Project Dashboard.

2. Locate the EVM Widget in the table.

3. In the Available column, set the toggle to Yes.

4. To have the widget automatically appear on all project dashboards by default, set the Default toggle to Yes.

   1. Note: Users can choose to remove the widget or create views that do not include it.

5. Access Control: Visibility of the EVM Widget can be restricted to specific user groups.

6. Click Save. The widget will now be available to end users based on the settings.

? How to Use This Function or Component (End User)

• On the Project Dashboard, if the EVM Widget is not displayed by default:

  • Click the Dashboard Settings (gear icon).
    

    

  • Locate EVM in the list of available widgets.

  • Click it so that a “1” appears on the right.

  • Click Save to apply changes.
    

    

• On the dashboard, locate the EVM Widget.

• Select the reporting period you want to view from the dropdown menu.
  

  

• Once the period is selected, the graph and performance metrics will automatically update based on the selected data.
  

  

  
  

• Click the Expand button to view detailed information for the selected period.

  • All the data tables have been updated to metrics that Cora will be capturing as part of our more robust EVM functionality. The table below show the Pre Q2 Metrics and the updated metric per the Q2 release.

  • We will be capturing the actual Status Date that was applied for that Period.

  • Filter required (settings) for Task Type.
